COVID -19 Update 3/7/20

Please find attached the link below to the Government Guidance for the Full reopening of Schools.

Since its publication yesterday we have been reviewing these documents and will be producing a summary in line with how we will open in the coming weeks.  This will allow us to both study the document and come up with plans suitable to;

  • - minimise the risks
  • - accommodate students and colleagues safely on our grounds
  • - support the possible wider impacts on our student and parent population and wider community

By doing this we will ensure we have reviewed both the health risks involved alongside the negative impact caused by the continued loss of a school education.  This will ensure we prioritise our children and colleagues safety whilst being mindful to not jeopardise the future opportunities and outcomes that a broad secondary education offers.

The document focuses on a mixture of measures, many of which are already in place and others that will need adapting to cater for the larger numbers who will need to be accommodated safely.  Needless to say we will work in line with all government and Public Health guidance to support the wider reopening of Schools to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child alongside their access to and greater personal interaction with their learning.

Government guidance for the full opening of schools

We will follow with further updates and specific GNSA guidance, surrounding new COVID-19 related necessary arrangements, prior to the beginning of term with information for your child's safe return to School.

Please take care

Stay Safe and Well
