Welfare
Asthma
Pupils with Asthma are welcome in our school and are expected to take a full and active part in all school activities. The school policy is that children with Asthma must provide the school with two inhalers which should be clearly labelled with pupil’s names and required doses.
First Aid
If a pupil has a minor bump or injury they will be treated at school by a qualified first aider.
Emergencies
In the case of a more serious injury parents/carers will be contacted immediately. It is important that you keep us informed of any changes of address or telephone numbers.
Please note that the school is a non smoking establishment and no one is permitted to smoke in the building or inside the school grounds.
Mrs Ravinder Punn - I joined the Primary Phase in January 2017 and hold a current First Aid at Work certificate. I have also recently acquired my QA Level 3 award in Paediatric First Aid. I am enjoying supporting your child/children with matters relating to Welfare and also assist the school with the Attendance for the Primary Phase. Being a mother myself, I can understand the importance of ensuring that your child is well looked after and has the right support and care whilst at school.
Simple guidelines to help your child’s attendance
- Ensure that your child attends everyday
- Provide medical evidence for any illness taken
- Arrange holidays during school holidays
- Arrange medical appointments are arranged after school or in the holidays
- If medical appointments have to be made during school time, please keep them to a minimum.
