    Reading Ambassadors

We're thrilled to introduce our newest team of Reading Ambassadors, all selected from our enthusiastic Year 5 class!

These brilliant pupils are true bookworms with a passion for stories and a genuine desire to make reading fun for everyone in the school. They were chosen for their excellent enthusiasm, positive attitudes, and commitment to being fantastic reading role models.

    Champions of the Reading Hut!

This year, a key part of our ambassadors' role will be helping out in the Reading Hut during lunchtime! Their new responsibilities include:

    • Sharing Stories and Calm: They'll be ensuring the Reading Hut is a peaceful, welcoming place for all children who want to enjoy a quiet time with a book.

    • Book Recommendations: Our ambassadors are on hand to suggest exciting new books, help younger children find stories they'll love, and encourage everyone to try different genres.

    • Keeping Things Tidy: They will help manage the books and seating, making sure the Hut remains a pleasant and organized space for everyone to enjoy.

What Else Will They Be Doing?

Beyond the Reading Hut, our Year 5 ambassadors will be:

    • Developing Displays: Look out for their special "Book Spotlights" on the library display board, where they'll review and suggest their favourite reads.

    • Organising Bookworm Events: Our ambassadors will be helping to plan fun reading challenges and activities for upcoming school events!

    • Drop everything and read: Our reading ambassadors will be crucial in organising out termly 'drop everything and read' sessions

Please join us in congratulating our wonderful Year 5 Ambassadors! Encourage your children to chat with them about books—they're always ready to share a great story! Happy reading!
